Alive Independent Living

Alive Independent Living provides safe, stable shared housing for young adults ages 18–21 in the Greater Houston Metro area who are ready to build independence, establish routines, and continue pursuing education, employment, or training.

Alive exists for young adults who are capable of managing daily life on their own, but benefit from a structured environment that offers stability, clear expectations, and access to resources — without supervision or case management.

Our Approach

Alive is built on the belief that independence grows through trust, accountability, and clarity, not constant oversight.

Our program emphasizes:

• Personal responsibility

• Clear expectations

• Respect for autonomy

• Stability as a foundation for growth

Residents are treated as capable young adults, not as clients in need of supervision.

What Makes Alive Different

Alive Independent Living is intentionally designed as a non-supervised program.

We do not provide:

• Supervision

• Case management

• Counseling or treatment services

Instead, Alive provides housing and structure that allows residents to take ownership of their daily lives while accessing external supports as needed.

This approach supports dignity, independence, and long-term success.

Who Alive Is For

Alive is designed for young adults who:

• Are between the ages of 18 and 21

• Are capable of managing daily responsibilities independently

• Are employed, in school, or actively working toward stability

• Are seeking a calm, structured living environment

• Do not require supervision or clinical services

Our Philosophy

We believe that:

• Stability creates space for growth

• Clear expectations reduce conflict

• Independence should be practiced, not delayed
